I would recommend to use Mozilla firefox to download videos from youtube it has a add-on called video downloadhelper you can get it here, In top right corner after you install it you'll find the downloadhelper symbol moving beside it there is a drop down menu where you will have your video quality list, Click on one of the link to download your video. Some videos have high security for such videos you can use this site, It requires java so you have to download it once, You just need to paste the URL in the box and press download and keepvid shows you the quality and size of the files.
